it's my last full day in melbourne and my last day of free tea and internet at work. boo. but i've finished writing my brief history of the melbourne writers' festival and it'll be somewhere on their website soon: www.mwf.com.au, possibly in the 'about us' section. marvellous.
last night at miss saigon aswell. hurrah. it was quite nice last night cos michael, the front of house manager, announced i was leaving this week and so people stayed for drinks in the bar afterwards, even though some had to start work at 7am this morning. there was also a nice moment when i ordered my drink and, as staff get discount, the barman said 'you're with the crew, aren't you?'. ah, this sense of belonging. even naomi, my old boss at the recruitment place, may be coming with us to see the footy tomorrow.
so, yeah, it's all a bit weird. next post will probably be from adelaide. over and out.

so I have an answer to my comment of 9 March, as to which writers festival you have been working for, never mind. Have just had a look at the website, is it the history on the 'about us' section that you have done, very impressive and interesting, I am very proud of you, couldn't you have signed it or something?
Incidentally, the other 'emerging writers festival' is on at the moment, I think, cos they seem to have got the days and dates mixed up on the website. 25 April was last Wednesday not Friday, you'd have thought they'd have got that right, with it being ANZAC day! Not that you can do much about it now.
Hopefully we might get a phonecall from you this weekend, although its going to be a busy weekend for us. Tomorrow we are going to look into the design for the kitchen, I think, at IKEA! And sort the front room out.
